What RVRV is. And what it isn’t.
A public-interest storytelling project built around a simple idea: what happened should not disappear because the paperwork is easier to read than the person.
What it is
A place for Southern Oregon renters to publish first-person accounts under their own names, with supporting material when they choose to provide it.
What it is not
Not a law firm. Not a legal-services provider. Not a public comment board. Not a place for anonymous attacks or crowdsourced verdicts.
Publishing philosophy
The storyteller owns the experience. RVRV’s job is not to manufacture a cleaner, more dramatic, or more marketable version of it.
If someone identified in a story believes it is wrong or incomplete, RVRV may provide an orderly response process without converting the original story into an open comment thread.
Privacy
RVRV should collect only what is necessary to review and publish a story. Contact information used for follow-up should not automatically become public.
Legal note
RVRV is a storytelling and documentation project. Nothing published here is individualized legal advice or legal representation.
